Skill assessment is the process of skilled migration and employer-sponsored visas. For a number of visa categories obtaining an appropriate skill assessment is a necessity and we can assist you in getting your skills assessed in your relevant field or profession, whether it involves ACS, CPA/IPA, TRA, VETASSESS, ANMAC/AHPRA, ACWA, Engineers Australia, etc.

Skills assessments are typically granted by the relevant assessing bodies which verify that your skills meet the requirements which they set for working in a relevant occupation. All of the relevant occupations from the four professional lists are outlined in the collective list of eligible skilled professions.

Skills Assessment for trade occupations-

(1) Provisional Skills Assessment

Under the provisional skills assessment, Trade Recognition Australia will ratify your identity and Australian qualification and that you are doing a range of tasks and responsibilities relevant to your nominated occupation within an Australian workplace. A positive PSA result can be applied to the Department of Home Affairs for a Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485). You must get a successful PSA result before proceeding to apply for apply step2 of JRP (Job Ready Program) known as JRE (Job Ready Employment).

Successful Outcome:

You must receive notification of the outcome of your PSA application through email. If your outcome is successful, the outcome letter can be used to apply for your home affairs for a Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485).

If your outcome is unsuccessful, the outcome letter will provide you with reasons for the outcome and give information about your options. You can apply for a review or a new PSA application.

(2) Job-Ready Employment

To meet the requirements of job-ready employment, candidates must secure employment in the field of their choice and submit that employment through the online portal to TRA by providing the appropriate username and password that received when applying for the provisional skills assessment.

Employment Requirements:

To meet the JRE program requirements, you must have experience at least 1725 hours of paid employment in your selected profession over a minimum of 12 months beginning with the start of your JRE. The 1725 hours cannot include any periods of leave. You are allowed to clai006D up to three months of paid employment that you engaged in immediately before submitting your JRE application online. When you submit your JRE application, at that time you can claim for this online.

(3) Job Ready Workplace Assessment

Job-ready workplace assessment is an integral part of Job job-ready program. This phase involves determining your ability to work at the level of expertise required for your occupation in Australia.

Job-ready final assessment is conducted to recognize your completion of your JRP. The current processing time for JRWA application outcome is 45 days from application. You can apply for a skilled visa with home affairs by using your positive JRFA skills assessment.
