WHAT IS SINGAPORE STUDENT VISA?

• Students must submit the student visa application at least one month before the start of the semester.
• Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority processes the student visa application for students who are under 19 age and choose to study in a private institution.
• If students who are aged 20 or above want to pursue vocational, Fine Arts Degrees or Languages or commerce programs have to give an interview.
• Students are allowed to work part-time in the city during study programs. After completion of your course, you will be asked to submit your Singapore Student Visa.
• After completion of the study program, students can look for international work opportunities. You must apply for a student pass that allows you to extend your stay for a year to explore work opportunities in Singapore.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS TO APPLY SINGAPORE STUDENT VISA:

Here is the list of specific documents which are required to submit to apply for a Singapore student Pass:

• A valid passport and 2 passport-size photographs
• Birth Certificate
• Acceptance letter for admission from the university
• SOP, Resume, and 3 letters of Recommendation
• Proof of sufficient funds
• Visa fee receipt and 3 completed application forms
• Degree certificates and academic transcripts, you must appear in international tests like IELTS, TOEFL, and GRE.
• Travel and Health Insurance

APPLICATION PROCESS FOR SINGAPORE STUDENT VISA

If you fulfill the requirement of all documents, you have to move forward with the application process. This might be different according to the university in which you get admission. To get information about the application process, you can check the official website of the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore. After successfully registering for a Singapore student visa, your application will go through the following steps:

• The student pass application takes a minimum of 15 days or 4 weeks for visa processing after submission.
• The interview is not compulsory but it depends on the university in which you have applied. If there will be an interview, you will be informed.
• The final processed visa can be either collected from the embassy or it will be sent to the candidate through courier.
• Before the start of the academic session, the Singapore visa is then submitted to the ICA.
• Students who apply online, can keep an eye on the application by logging on to the website using the Transaction Reference Number.
